She kicked a rock around a few times restlessly. Airi was all alone, and that made her feel tense, and she didn’t even know where she was. The more she thought about it, the more pissed she got, and the more the rock split into many pieces. She was pretty much just grinding her feet into the rock at the point.

“Where… is… everybody?! How about… WHERE… IS… ANYBODY?” She yelled this with extreme agitation. The rock had disappeared at this point and her foot hurt. Oh well, she always acted impulsively anyway.

“This really sucks.”

Airi slumped and sat on the ground, poking the pieces of rock. Man, was she bored and man was she hungry and man, she could really use someone to talk to right now.

“Goddammit. Uuuuuuurgh.”

After a full day of searching and exploring, Hiro returned empty handed once again. He did not know what exactly he was looking for and his usual method, that consisted of waiting for something to fall from the sky to his feet, did not work here anymore. 

The boy was about to head back when he noticed a small figure standing at the end of the road. He would have walked right past if he did not happen to catch the red-head screaming to the nothingness. A feeling of excitement within him at the thought of being reunited with a comrade he had lost during the transition to this world. He could have ran up to her and greeted her normally to make sure he was not mistaken, but instead, he approached discreetly while holding his breath.

Slowly… slowly…

“BOO!”

“AAAAAAAAAAAGUHUHUH WHAT THE HELL?!”

Seriously, she was scared shitless Hiro you are an asshole. But she didn’t realise that yet so reflexively she flung her arms back and smacked him right in the face as hard as she could. You know, even at the age of 15, some perv would want her bod. Or her bellybutton.

With her voice wavering, she turned to face her assailant and yelled, “You friggin idiot, what kind of loser startles someone they don’t even know?! You know what, whoever you are, you’re going to get it, and you’re going to wish that you were never EVEN BORN. I will break every bone in your body and-“

She stopped, the rage quickly leaving her. It was Hiro! Another person to know. She let out a huge sigh in relief.

“Oh, uh, hi. I didn’t realise it was you.”

Man, she really needed to control that temper. Was gonna cost her one day.
